Marshall unveils Stockwell III portable speaker with extended battery life
The $250 device features True Stereophonic audio technology and an IP55 rating, with direct sales launching immediately and retail availability starting 4 August.

Marshall has announced the Stockwell III, the latest iteration of its portable Bluetooth speaker line, priced at $250. The device represents a significant upgrade over the previous Stockwell II model, most notably doubling the battery life from 20 hours to more than 40 hours per charge. The unit is available for immediate purchase directly through Marshall, with wider retail distribution scheduled to commence on 4 August.
The speaker utilises Marshall’s proprietary True Stereophonic technology to deliver 360-degree audio, ensuring consistent sound quality regardless of placement. A dynamic loudness algorithm is integrated to maintain balance across bass, mids, and treble frequencies at varying volume levels, with specific adjustments to bass and treble at lower volumes. The design retains the brand’s signature aesthetic, resembling a guitar amplifier, and includes a polyurethane leather carry strap and velvet lining.
Durability and maintenance have been addressed through an IP55 dust and water resistance rating and a modular construction. Key components, including the strap, battery, front and rear grilles, and silicone sleeve, are designed to be user-replaceable. This approach aims to extend the product's lifecycle and simplify repairs. The device weighs under three pounds, contributing to its portability.
Control is managed via a brass panel that allows users to skip tracks, access presets, and adjust audio settings. The Stockwell III is currently available in two colourways directly from Marshall. The expansion into broader retail channels later in August will make the device accessible through major electronics retailers.
The announcement positions the Stockwell III as a high-capacity audio solution for users requiring extended playback times. By addressing the battery limitations of its predecessor and introducing replaceable parts, Marshall is targeting consumers who prioritise longevity and performance in portable audio equipment.
