Based on historical support patterns, newer iPhone 16 or 17 models are expected to receive software support through at least 2031. This commitment to long-term software support has been unmatched by competitors, with the article noting that while Android rivals like Google and Samsung now offer up to seven years of updates, Apple’s track record remains established.
