Belkin targets Switch 2 owners with $100 charging grip and travel bag

Belkin has expanded its portfolio of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories with the launch of the Gaming Charging Grip and a dedicated Travel Bag. The new peripherals address two primary concerns for handheld gamers: extended battery life and improved handling during long sessions. The Gaming Charging Grip is priced at $100, while the accompanying Travel Bag is available for $50. Both items are offered in black, lilac, and olive colourways.
The Gaming Charging Grip integrates a 10,000 mAh power bank with modular, non-slip ergonomic grips designed for the Joy-Con 2 controllers. Due to the console’s lack of native magnetic accessory support or wireless charging capabilities, the battery unit attaches magnetically to the back of a protective case rather than the console directly. Power is delivered via a built-in 30-watt USB-C cable that connects to the top port of the Switch 2.
Belkin claims the power bank can recharge the console 1.5 times, extending gameplay by 150 percent compared to using the device without the accessory. This represents a significant increase over previous estimates that suggested three to four hours of additional playtime. A digital display on the rear of the battery unit allows users to monitor charging levels in real time.
The modular grips are designed to be ergonomic and detach along with the Joy-Con 2s when the console is removed from the case. The main charging case includes a specific slot at the bottom to ensure it does not interfere with the Switch 2’s kickstand, maintaining the device’s functionality as a tabletop stand. This follows Belkin’s previous releases, including a Charging Case that doubles as a stand and a Charging Case Pro.
Alongside the grip, Belkin introduced the Travel Bag, a cross-body everyday bag designed for practical transport of the console and accessories. The bag features a dedicated soft-lined pocket with a velcro strap, spacious storage, quick-access front pockets, and a hidden compartment for trackers.
