BMW prices iX4 electric SUV at $66,200 ahead of 2027 launch
The coupe-shaped Neue Klasse model is projected to travel up to 428 miles on an EPA estimate. BMW plans a higher-performance version later in 2027.

BMW has announced the iX4, a coupe-shaped electric SUV built on its Neue Klasse platform. The iX4 50 xDrive is scheduled to arrive in March 2027, with a starting price of $66,200, excluding destination and handling fees.
BMW estimates the 50 xDrive will travel up to 428 miles on a charge. The figure is an EPA estimate for a future model; real-world range may differ. The source report does not specify the market for the quoted price.
The 50 xDrive is specified with a 112.2kWh usable battery and 800-volt architecture. BMW says it can accept up to 400kW of DC fast charging, adding up to 184 miles of range in 10 minutes. These are manufacturer figures.
BMW rates the dual-motor 50 xDrive at 463 horsepower and 475lb-ft of torque. A more powerful M60 xDrive is planned for later in 2027, with stated output of 603 horsepower and 645lb-ft.
The iX4 is the third vehicle on BMW’s Neue Klasse platform, following the iX3 and i3. The announcement adds another electric SUV to the range, with pricing and performance specifications set out ahead of its planned launch.
