America PAC spends more on attacks against Senate Democrats
WIRED’s daily tracker shows Elon Musk’s PAC directing more money towards opposing Democratic candidates than supporting Republicans in three Senate races.

Elon Musk’s America PAC has spent substantially more on ads opposing Democratic Senate candidates than on ads supporting Republicans in three closely watched races, according to figures reported by WIRED.
In Texas, the PAC spent more than $9.4 million opposing James Talarico and about $1.8 million supporting Republican Ken Paxton. In Ohio, it spent $3.3 million against Sherrod Brown and $1.6 million backing Jon Husted.
In Iowa, America PAC spent $1.5 million opposing Josh Turek and roughly $100,000 supporting Ashley Hinson, the largest gap among the three races in WIRED’s tracker.
WIRED says its digital-ad and mailer tracker is updated daily, so the figures are snapshots that may change. Across the Senate races it tracks, the publication reports the PAC has spent almost three dollars attacking Democratic candidates for every dollar spent supporting Republican candidates.
The races carry potential implications for control of the Senate. WIRED says Democrats could take the majority by flipping four battleground seats while retaining three they currently hold; the spending figures do not establish why the PAC allocated its money this way.
