The Guardian’s fashion section, The Filter, announced an online reader Q&A with stylist Mel Wilkinson, inviting questions on wardrobes and personal style.

Wilkinson, who has styled celebrities and fashion shoots for more than 15 years, was scheduled to answer readers at 3pm BST on 2 October. The announcement asked readers to submit questions in the comments.

Examples ranged from whether straight-leg jeans still work amid the popularity of baggy styles to what to wear to a Christmas work party. The callout also welcomed questions about updating an autumn wardrobe on a budget.

More specific prompts included where to find a pretty bra in an H cup and how to choose smart trousers for someone 5ft 2. The announcement does not include Wilkinson’s answers or confirm whether the session went ahead.
