ASCII.REST says its library contains 191 animated ASCII art pieces for websites, packaged as typed TypeScript modules without external dependencies.

The project lists compatibility with React, Next.js, Astro and plain HTML. It says the modules require no installation or build step and can be used and changed under the MIT licence.

The collection includes full-colour scenes, loaders, charts, type, language logos and Linux distributions, alongside 3D shapes, physics and creatures.

ASCII.REST’s web component can load a piece when mounted and play it while it is on screen. The project says it holds the first frame for people who prefer reduced motion.

The supplied description also says the component can render a first frame on the server before the animation loads. These features and compatibility claims are from ASCII.REST’s own account.
